Today is our topic of discussion Index of A short text book for MATS.

There is no medical book that is specifically written for MATS students. In government sector this course is demandful. In health complexes, sub-centers and also in district hospitals. their post is designated as SACMO (Sub-assistant Community Medical Officer) which is regarded as a prestigious job in thanas and districts.
In true sense, practically, they are just below the rank to the Medical Officers in respect of their responsibility in the hospitals. So, in our context, their spectrum of responsibility, especially in patient management. is very much. For this reason it is very essential, to make them coped with appropriate and required knowledge. But an appropriate book at their level is unavailable.
This book is written in such a way, that the students of MATS will no need to study any other book of ‘community medicine’. Of course the last updated curriculum from The State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh is strictly followed and also the topics of previous curriculum are included.
Additionally. there are also some related chapters that will help the students to clarify their knowledge and also to take clear conception about ‘community medicine’.
Though this book is written in the format of text book but in a very concise way, just to clarify the basic knowledge of ‘community medicine’.

Any suggestions regarding the improvement of the book, to make any corrections or any other advice will be cordially appreciated.
